Show Schedule for 2008-2009

Grease (Musical) - Book, Music and Lyrics by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey
April 4, 8

This is the 1950's rock 'n' roll musical that has entertained audiences since 1970. Rydell High's spirited class of '59; gum chewing, hubcap stealing, hot rod loving boys with d.a.'s and their wise cracking girls in bobby sox and pedal pushers---capture the look and sound of the 1950s in a rollicking musical. While hip Danny Zuko and wholesome Sandy Dumbrowski resolve the problems of their mutual attraction, the gang sings and dances its way through such nostalgic scenes as the pajama party, the prom, the burger palace, and the drive in movie. Songs recall the music of Buddy Holly, Little Richard and Elvis Presley that became the soundtrack of a generation. An 8-year run on Broadway and two subsequent revivals along with innumerable school and community productions place Grease among the world's most popular musicals.

The Perfect Idiot - By Eunice and Grant Atkinson
October 17,18,&19, 2008

The high school gang hates the boywonder Dan. They've heard too much about his IQ. They despise his "Smart-Me, Dumb-You" attitude. Then the star athlete Puff is disqualified from all athletic events. Dan has a big problem of his own. His parents won't let him take the college entrance exams as long as he's so unpopular. So Dan offers a trade: he'll tutor Puff if the gang will rally around him and act like friends even if they're not. He's a "perfect" idiot!

A Christmas Carol By Charles Dickens

An adaptation of the story of Ebenezer Scrooge's journey from an embittered, ungenerous creature into a giving, caring human being at the hands of three spirits, who, one Christmas Eve, show him what life means.

Parental Advisory - Brief Strong Language and Brief Sexual Innuendo

Rumors of our Death by George F. Walker
&
High School for Dummies By Bradley Hayward

February 6,7,8

Rumors of our Death
This quirky, politically charged comedy revolves around a fictional Kingdom which is being lead into an impending war by their dim-witted King. The people are frightened and rumors begin to flourish. To make matters worse, the Princess is kidnapped by terrorists, the people face financial ruin from paying the ransom and the Queen's visions are fading. What more could possibly happen? Enter the Zombies.

High School for Dummies
What would happen if there were an instruction manual for freshmen? Things would certainly be a lot different come graduation, that's for sure. If a bully jams you in a locker, turn to Chapter 3. If you forget your homework, there's an excuse on Page 46. If the cafeteria serves mush, check the footnotes for some recipes. With the influx of how-to books for dummies, dealing with everything from piano to poker, a group of graduating seniors take it upon themselves to write the most important one of them all: High School for Dummies!
